Basics of Jig Fishing for Bass

Fishing with a jig is an effective technique for catching largemouth and smallmouth bass. It can trigger both big and multiple bites. With a few simple tricks, anyone can master this technique. Here are some tips to help you get started:


1. Use a rod with a medium heavy to heavy power with fast action tip and a good drag system. Good quality equipment is helpful for successful jig fishing. You want to be able to feel the bottom and bites.
